Email Setup in Microsoft Outlook 2007

Open the application.
If you are setting up your first email account on this computer, the "Outlook 2007 Startup" wizard will open automatically. Click "Next" and skip directly to step 4.
If you have set up an email account on this computer before, continue to step 2.

Choose "Account Settings" from the "Tools" menu.

Make sure the "E-mail" tab is selected and click the "New" button.
Skip to step 5. -
Select "Yes" and click "Next".

Tick "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" at the
bottom left and click "Next".

Choose "Internet E-mail" and click "Next".

Choose whether you want to read your email on one computer (step 7a)
or on more than one computer (step 7b).

If you want to download all your email onto your current computer, choose "POP3"
as the "Account Type" under "Server Information".
In this case you will not be able to read your email on more than one computer or use our webmail application.
Enter your name and email address as you would like them to appear on email you send from your account, under "User Information".
The email address should have been provided to you along with your username and password.
Enter "mail.praterraines.co.uk" in both the "Incoming mail server" and "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" fields under "Server Information".
Enter the username and password you were provided to access your email and tick "Remember password" under "Logon Information".
Click "More Settings" and continue to step 8a. -
To share your email between more than one computer or between your computer
and our webmail application, choose "IMAP" as the "Account Type" under
"Server Information".
In this case changes you make from any computer or the webmail application (such as deleting or sending email) will affect other places you read your email.
Bear in mind that your email account includes a limited quota. If you choose to use IMAP any emails you do not delete from your account will count towards your quota.
Enter your name and email address as you would like them to appear on email you send from your account, under "User Information".
The email address should have been provided to you along with your username and password.
Enter "mail.praterraines.co.uk" in both the "Incoming mail server" and "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)" fields under "Server Information".
Enter the username and password you were provided to access your email and tick "Remember password" under "Logon Information".
Click "More Settings" and continue to step 8b.

Select the "General" tab and choose a name for the account.
This name can be anything you like that helps you identify this email from any other email accounts you use.

Select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
Tick "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".

Select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
Tick "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
Continue to step 10b.

Select the "Advanced" tab.
Tick "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" under "Incoming server (POP3)". The port number should change automatically to "995".
Change the port number for "Outgoing server (SMTP)" from "25" to "587".
Select "TLS" from the list labelled "Use the following type of encrypted connection" under "Outgoing server (SMTP)".
Click "OK" and continue to step 11. -
Select the "Advanced" tab.
Select "TLS" from the lists labelled "Use the following type of encrypted connection" under both "Incoming server (IMAP)" and "Outgoing server (SMTP)".
Change the port number for "Outgoing server (SMTP)" from "25" to "587".
Click "OK" and continue to step 11.

Your email should now be configured correctly. Click "Finish" and then try sending
yourself a message and checking it arrives in your inbox.
